LENOIR — West Caldwell senior Zoie Miller picked up two wins Monday in a five-team swim meet on the Lenoir Aquatic & Health Heart.
Miller topped the women’ 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.44 seconds, simply passing East Burke’s Marabeth Huffman (29.10) effort. Miller additionally cleared first place within the 100 freestyle (1:01.40) with Newton-Conover’s Dayana Alvarez-Chavez in second (1:08.23).
West’s Jack Swanson gained the boys’s 50 freestyle (28.17) forward of teammates Christian Hernandez (29.22) and Lane Swanson (29.98). The Warriors gained the 200 freestyle relay (2:04.10) to defeat East Burke. (2:11.69).
Jack Swanson led this successful stint, adopted by Lane Swanson, Isaac Willis and Christian Hernandez.
Maddison Eaches of West cleared first place within the ladies’s 100m backstroke forward of East Burke’s Freyja Lemaire (1:40.93).
The Swansons, Willis and Christian Hernandez (5:08.82) recorded a second-place end within the males’s 400 freestyle relay, behind East Burke.
Miller, Eaches, Jazmin RoblesGuerro and Jaylie Gragg completed second within the 200 freestyle relay (2:18.47).
Javier Hernandez, a freshman, completed second within the males’s 200 freestyle (2:40.5). Christian Hernandez completed second within the 500 freestyle (7:17.03).
Jack Swanson positioned third (28.17) within the 100 freestyle. Eaches took third place within the 500m freestyle (8:24.89), as did Lane Swanson (1:51.89) within the 100m breaststroke.
Eaches, Gragg, Miller and RoblesGuerro completed fourth (2:36.11) within the 200 medley relay. RoblesGuerro was fourth (3:33.58) within the 200 freestyle.
Gragg was sixth (3:53.79) within the 200 freestyle and 50 freestyle (36.47). RoblesGuerro took eighth place (37.46) within the 50 freestyle.
Hernandez and Willis completed ninth and tenth respectively within the 50 free (32.83, 32.85).
